Chinese military to work with U.S. side to strengthen cooperation, manage differences: spokesperson
BEIJING, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese military stands ready to work with the U.S. side to strengthen communication and cooperation, and properly manage differences, a defense spokesperson said on Saturday.
Chen Xi, a spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, made the remarks in response to a media query about the information on the following engagement between the two militaries.
"We will promote steady, sound and sustainable development of the relationship of the two militaries," Chen said, adding that the two sides should inject positive energy and new impetus into building a constructive China-U.S. relationship of strategic stability on the basis of respect, fairness and reciprocity. ■
