တရုတ်နိုင်ငံသည် အာရှ-ပစိဖိတ် စီးပွားရေး ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှု (APEC) စီးပွားရေးအဖွဲ့ဝင်နိုင်ငံများ အားလုံးနှင့်အတူ ပိုမိုတည်ငြိမ်သော စားနပ်ရိက္ခာဖူလုံရေးစနစ်တစ်ခု ထူထောင်ရန် အသင့်ရှိကြောင်း တရုတ်နိုင်ငံ ဒုတိယဝန်ကြီးချုပ် လျိုကော်ကျုံးက ဩဂုတ် ၂၅ ရက်က ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

တရုတ်ကွန်မြူနစ်ပါတီ ဗဟိုကော်မတီ နိုင်ငံရေးဗျူရိုအဖွဲ့ဝင်လည်းဖြစ်သည့် လျိုက တရုတ်နိုင်ငံ အရှေ့ပိုင်း ကျဲ့ကျန်းပြည်နယ် မြို့တော်ဟန်ကျိုး၌ ကျင်းပသည့် ၁၁ ကြိမ်မြောက် APEC စားနပ်ရိက္ခာဖူလုံရေးဆိုင်ရာ ဝန်ကြီးအဆင့်အစည်းအဝေး ဖွင့်ပွဲအခမ်းအနားတွင် အထက်ပါအတိုင်း အရေးကြီးမိန့်ခွန်းပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

ကမ္ဘာ့စားနပ်ရိက္ခာဖူလုံရေးကို ကာကွယ်ထိန်းသိမ်းရာတွင် APEC ၏ အဓိကအခန်းကဏ္ဍကို အလေးပေးပြောကြားလျက် လျိုက APEC စီးပွားရေးအဖွဲ့ဝင်နိုင်ငံများအနေဖြင့် မိမိတို့၏ ကိုယ်ပိုင်အရင်းအမြစ်အားသာချက်များကို အသုံးချကာ စားနပ်ရိက္ခာဖူလုံရေး အခြေခံအုတ်မြစ် ခိုင်မာအားကောင်းစေရေးအတွက် အတူတကွဆောင်ရွက်ရန် တိုက်တွန်းပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။ (Xinhua)

Chinese vice premier calls for joint efforts from APEC members to bolster food security  

HANGZHOU, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- China stands ready to work with all Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies to build a more stable food security system, Chinese Vice Premier Liu Guozhong said on Tuesday.

Liu, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks in a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 11th APEC Food Security Ministerial Meeting in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province.

Stressing the vital role APEC plays in safeguarding global food security, Liu called on APEC economies to jointly strengthen the foundation for food security by leveraging their own resource endowments.
