မြေပြိုမှုမှာ သြဂုတ် ၁၂ ရက် ညပိုင်းက ဝေးလံခေါင်သီသော တောင်ကုန်းဒေသတွင် ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်ပြီး အိမ်ခြေ ၉ လုံး၊ နွားတင်းကုပ် ၂ ခု၊ ဆိုင်တစ်ဆိုင်နှင့် ဘုရားကျောင်းတစ်ကျောင်းတို့ မျောပါသွားခဲ့သည်။ ထိုဘေးအန္တရာယ်ကြောင့် ရွာငယ်လေးတစ်ခုလုံး ရေစီးထဲမျောပါသွားခဲ့သည်။

10 killed in landslide in W. Nepal
KATHMANDU, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- A landslide triggered by incessant rainfall in Nepal's western Rolpa district has killed 10 people and left two others missing, police said on Thursday.
The landslide occurred on Wednesday night in a remote hilly area, sweeping away nine houses, two cowsheds, a shop and a church. The entire small settlement was washed away by the disaster.
"Five bodies have been recovered from the landslide site," Krishna Shrestha, spokesperson for the district police, told Xinhua. The other five bodies were recovered several kilometers away in neighbouring Pyuthan district after they were swept downstream.
Two survivors are receiving treatment while a search operation is underway for the remaining two missing people.
Rescue efforts were hampered by the difficult terrain and remote location of the affected area. ■
