Myanmar exports over 520,000 tonnes of rice in first 3 months of FY2026-27

YANGON, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar exported 529,534 tonnes of rice and broken rice in the first three months of the current fiscal year 2026-27, which began in April, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation on Saturday.

The Southeast Asian country earned about 167 million U.S. dollars from the exports during the period, the federation said.

According to the federation's data, rice exports during the first three months of this fiscal year were down from over 600,000 tonnes exported during the same period of last fiscal year.
