FC Barcelona extends Raphinha's contract
MADRID, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona announced on Wednesday that Brazilian forward Raphinha will sign a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2030.
"This Thursday, November 5, first-team player Raphael Dias Belloli 'Raphinha' will sign a contract extension until June 30, 2030. The signing is scheduled to take place at 12:00 p.m. CET in the office of president Joan Laporta, before the player subsequently speaks to the media in the Commercial Office," the club announced on its official website.
The announcement comes a day after the 29-year-old scored twice in Barcelona's 3-0 home win over Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League, helping the La Liga side improve to three wins and one defeat from its opening four matches.
Raphinha joined Barcelona from Leeds United in 2022. He has scored 94 goals in 190 appearances for the club, making him one of the most prolific Brazilian players in its history. Enditem
