Milu deer roam alongside egrets at Poyang Lake
A serene encounter in the wetlands: Milu deer wade through the shallows of Poyang Lake in east China's Jiangxi Province, sharing the tranquil waters with flocks of egrets. The deer, under China's top-level national protection, were reintroduced to the area, and years of natural breeding have brought their population to around 80.
