Xi says China, Egypt set example of friendship, solidarity between developing countries

CAIRO, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said Tuesday that China and Egypt set an example of friendship, solidarity and coordination between developing countries, with strong political mutual trust, fruitful mutually beneficial cooperation, and close and effective coordination in multilateral affairs.

Xi made the remarks in a written speech delivered upon his arrival in Cairo for a state visit to Egypt at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

In his written speech, Xi extended, on behalf of the Chinese government and the Chinese people, sincere greetings and best wishes to the Egyptian government and the Egyptian people.
